Odinaka, who previously played for NPFL club, Lobi Stars, has signed a two-year deal with the People’s Elephant. The midfielder has also played for Nigeria’s National League side, Dakkada.
Lobi Stars Sign 15 Players
Lobi Stars have made significant additions to their squad, signing 15 new players in preparation for the 2024-2025 NPFL season.
Among the new signings are Ossy Martins, Hilega Bemshima, Komgbenda Joseph, Terna Peter Yoonen, Aondoyavenga Japhet, and several others.
Lobi Stars had to strengthen their squad after finishing in fifth position last season and failing to secure a continental ticket.
The unveiling ceremony, initially scheduled earlier, was postponed due to the nationwide protest. It is now set to take place at the New Jos Stadium on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
Shooting Stars Want Philip Odubia
Sporting Lagos midfielder Philip Odubia is reportedly attracting interest from NPFL side, Shooting Stars.
His potential move comes following an impressive performance in the previous NPFL season.
Odubia is considered a replacement for club captain Taofeek Malomo, who has moved to Albanian club KF Bylis.
Odubia’s experience with Sporting Lagos and Remo Stars has made him a sought-after talent.
Amas Obasogie Leaves Nigeria
Bendel Insurance goalkeeper Amas Obasogie has moved to the Ethiopian club Fasil Ketema FC, signing a two-year contract.
Obasogie, who won the Golden Glove award in the previous NPFL season, attracted interest from Enyimba and Rivers United. However, he decided to move abroad.
Eugene Agagbe Extends His Contract
Lobi Stars’ head coach, Eugene Agagbe, has extended his contract with the club for an additional two years.
This decision is aligned with the club’s ambitions to achieve significant success in the upcoming NPFL season.
