In a tragic incident, two people lost their lives and another was seriously injured following a devastating flood triggered by heavy rainfall in Dalmari community, Tarmasuwa, Gamawa Local Government Area of Bauchi State, North-East Nigeria.

While his brother was rescued with injuries, an elderly man also lost his life in a separate apartment.

The flood caused significant destruction, demolishing several homes and properties, although the full extent of the damage has yet to be determined.

Garba has appealed to the government and well-off individuals for assistance, as many residents have been left homeless, with their food supplies and valuable belongings destroyed.

This latest tragedy follows a series of flooding incidents in the region, driven by relentless downpours. Gamawa Local Government and neighboring councils like Shira, Giade, and Katagum in the Bauchi North Senatorial District were previously identified in a flood alert issued by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) this year.
