Founding Executive Director of the African Center for Leadership, Strategy and Development (Center LSD), Dr Otive Igbuzor has explained that infrastructure, institutional capacity and diversity are tools that will build good governance in Nigeria.
He said this while delivering a lecture as a keynote speaker at the 6th Anniversary lecture of PenPushing Media held at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Thursday on the topic “National Balance: Infrastructure and Institutional Capacity and Diversity As Tools for Building Blocks and Good Governance in Nigeria”.
Otive said national balance was necessary for nation-building, sustainable development and good governance in any country, Nigeria inclusive.
He said every nation is born through a process and requires building through governance.
Adding that the concept nation building has attracted the attention of political scientists, especially from the 1950s which is primarily used to describe the processes of national integration and consolidation that led up to the establishment of the modern nation-state as distinct from various forms of traditional states such as Feudal states, church empires and so on.
